The following are the Customs statistics for December:—Customs duty, £28,555 Is. 3d.; beer duty, £4752 19s. 7d.; gold ixport, nil. For tho corresponding month last year tho figures were: Customs, £43,744 12s. 3d.; "beer, £4263 6s. 5d.; gold, 10,3150z., valued at £41,773. The total for the year is: Customs duty, £434,425 9s. lid..; beer duty, £36,785 14s. lid.; gold export, 43,b160z„ valued: at £173,030. The beer duty is only approximate, there being small returns (under £100) to coino. , ■ ■
