PROFESSIONAL LIGHT-WEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) ■''.'■ Timaru, January 1. A boxing contest for the professional light-weight championship and a purse of £40 between W. Shutt (Timam), amateur Australasian champion of 1913) and P. Cook (Taumarunui), the present holder, was held to-night.. Cook won easily at the end of 18 rounds-on points. . In othor bouts H. Gunn (bantam) beat V. 'Kerr (Christchurch) easily. In the light-weights E. Morris (Kaiapoi) beat J. Stewart •' (Timaru), the towel going in at the end of the second rounjl.
