Cooper, S.M.. yesterday , afternoon into the death of an ufiidentified body of a middle-aged mahr which-was found in the harbour on Christmas Day. ; Andrew Wrixoh and Constables'Roohe and Chapman, gave evidence as to the finding ,of the body. stated that there we're no papers of any kind found on deceased, but that on the centre of the right hip there iv.as foaid a scar about an inch; by.a'n inch and a half in dimensions. The scar had the appearance of. having been caused by a burn. Pending a report as'to;fingerprinte which had been from deceased,; the Coroner .reserved his verdict. . BUPDEN^DEATH \T'. THE HOSPITAL A woman named Mary Lloyd, who was removed to the Hospital by thepolice some ..days '■ ago, died there suddenly yesterday.. She had been, making a good recovery at the .institution, but. yester.day rdorning she collapsed unexpectedly and died' immediately.-. It is 6urmised that heart, failure was the cause of death.. Ah elderly man named Da'niel'M'Neil was found drowned in the Waihopai River, on Tuesday. -, At the inquest a verdict of found drowned was returned.
