A COLOSSAL MISTAKE London, December 28. Renter's Sofia messages from Constantinople confirm the increasing discontent, which is due to tho sierious damage to the Goeben. and the«f.iilures in tho Caucasus and in Egypt. All sensible Turks aro realising the colossal mistake made in joining Germany. The Germans are uneasy, and fear that a Nationalist coup may destroy the German plans. TURKISH SOLDIERS. POORLY EQUIPPED. London, December 28. Reports of tho fighting in the Near East show that the Turkish soldiers, as usual, are showing the greatest courage and endurance, > but that their officers are hopelessly incompetent.
