NAPIER'S MARDI GRAS

(By Telegraph.—Presti Association.) Napier, December 28. The mardi gras was concluded today. The session was opened by a gathering of masked revellers on tho Marine Parade. Amusement was caused by tlie capture and presentation boforo the Queen of those who ventured too near without masks. About 1000 took part in a masked procession to tho park where the fun was fast and furious during tho afternoon. A lantern parade through town this evening was vory prottv. Mardi gras was wound up by a masked Ball at the park after a most successful day.
