Otago's first innings closed for 125 (White 38, F. Haig 26, Shaw 15). For Canterbury Edgar took five wickets for 30 runs, Russell two for 15, Sinclair one for 9. Canterbury, who made 158 in the first Winnings, compiled 156 in the second (Russell 41, Haughey 34, Guiney 32). Burneeide tiiok five wickets for 47 and Holderness three for 33. In the secona ■innings Otago Were dismissed for 84 (Marks 29, Hutchison 18 not out, Milburn 13). Haughey took six wickets for' 36 runs, Russell three for 34, and Edgar one for 4. ;'' .' . ■ The match Otago League v. Christchurch City and Suburban Association concluded to-day m fine weather. The visitors won by 25 runs. Christchurch;. who made 68 runs in the first innings, compiled 139' in the second (H, Grammer 67.
