TRACK WORK AT ELLERSLIE.

Merry Roe easily beat Castalia over six furlongs in lmin. 21sec. Beldame and Tetc-a-tete loft six furlongs behind in lmin. 19 2-ssec. Austin went a, furlong further in lmin. 34 2-5 sec. Reputation was too good for Mullingar over a mile and a quarter in 2min. 18s&c., the latter taking 2min. 20scc. Bimeter beat Court-martial and Snapdragon over seven furlongs in lmin. 34 l-psec. Toreador finished better than Goldfiro over 6ix furlongs in lmin. 20 3-ssec. ; War-step was going nicely alongside Sinapis over a mile and a quarter in 2min. 18 2-sscc.
