Practically all work of importance was registered on the outside of the course proper, which was in splendid order. Court Martial was too good for Adjutant over six furlongs in lmin. 21 3-ssec., the latter taking lmin. 23 4-ssec. Arran and Delenda finished together over five furlongs in lmin. 6 4-ssec. Snapdragon was a length in front of Don Francisoo .at the end of seven furlongs in lmin. 34sec. Chortle, not doing his best, covered six furlongs in lmin. '22sec. Balboa beat Campeador over six iu lmin. 22 4-ssec. Reputation and' Mullingar went a mile and a quarter at a sound three-quarter pace. 'Merry Roe was too good for Waiorewa over six in lmin. 18 3-ssec. Downharn, alone, galloped five from the new post in lmin. 6 2-osec. Tete-a-tete and . Beldame together, on the sand, did six in lmin. 19sec. Warstep, alone, /covered seven in, lmin. 32sec.
