SAILORS FRIEND SOCIETY

There was a large, attendance at the Sailors' Friend Sooiety Institute last evening, when the members of the Bear-a-Hand Club, connected with the society, provided a concert. Mr. J. Moore, missioner, occupied the chair. The following contributed items to the programme:—Misses Robertson, Cunningham, V. Collins, Nation, Messrs. Colpus, Lyn, Thomas, and Cogdalo. Miss Nation played the accompaniments. Soveral gramaphono selections were given by Mr. Foster (s.s. Star of New Zealand). The performers were accorded a hearty' vote of thanks at tho conclusion of the concert.
