NEWS OF THE GERMAN CRUISER CORMORAN
ARRIVAL AT GUAM Washington, December 15. The Navy Department has learned officially of tho arrival at Guam, in the Ladrone group, north, of New Guinea, of the German converted oruiser Cormoran (1640 tons, eight'4.l-inch guns). The commander was notified by the United States harbour authorities that the cruiser must leave within twentyfour hours or be interned. The Cormoran's whereabouts has been unknown eince she left Kiao-ohau. The captain of the Cormoran has d&oided to intern the vessel at Guam.

. REPORTED POSITION. Malta, December, 16. It is believed the torpedoed Turkish cruiser Messudieh is off Ngahara, on the south-eastern side of the Dardanelles, sixteen miles from the entrance.
• THE BULWARK DISASTER
DUE TO AN ACCIDENT. London, December 16. Official.—Tho explosion on thebattleehip Bulwark (which was sunk in the Thames with great lose of _life), was due to the accidental ignition of the ammunition aboard. There is no evidence that it was due to either treachery aboard or the act of an enemy. • . ' ■ The High Commissioner reports (London, December 15, 9.40 p.m.).—"The Court of Inquiry on the Bulwark disaster reports that there is clear evidence that the explosion was due to the accidental ignition of the ammunition on board. There was no evidence either of treachery or the act of an enemy."".
RECAPTURED BY BRITISH WARSHIPS
THE STEAMER EXFORD'. '(Rec. December 16, 9 p.m.) London, December 16. British warships have recaptured the steamer Esford (capture cabled on October 30). [A message from Colombo, dated October 30, stated: "Tiie captain and crow of the steamer Exford (4542 tons, Tatem Steam Navigation Co., Ltd., Cardiff) landed hero, and reported that the German cruiser Eniden took off from the steamer 7000 tons of steam coal, intimating that.it was intended to sink 'her."
