(From Our Own Oorressondent.) The annual meeting of the Petone Technical School Board was held last evening, there being present: Messrs. Castle (chairman), M'Ewan, Cox, Koots, Woods, Robertson, ■. M'Kenzie, Hobbs, and • Rodgers.' The director (Mr/ J. Lynskey) presented the annual report, which in reviewing the work of the year, stated that the new woolroom supplied a long-felt want, and the wool class, was one of the most successful in the school. Thanks were .duVto the manager of the Wellington Woullo.i Mills for the supply of wool, iiA'l keen interest was being taken by the pupils in this section some of whom came from the King Country and the Wairarapa. • Nine pupils entered for the shearing classes, three attended the examination in the first section, and passed in the first grade. Stephens, and J. Lynsky. Owing. to .the former going to tho front, Mr. Stephens had taken over his work. Some of the pupils are sitting for the Senior Civil fciorvice examination nest January.

A trial was made of holding dressmaking, cookery, and millinery classes, and was a successful experiment, and the prospects of tho school woro exceedingly bright. In tho remaining sections, plumbing, building construction, book-keeping, typing, drawing, chemistry, painting, and art-drawing, etc., good progress was being made, and in respect to tho attendanco at school, the following gained tho highest marks: — N. Brian, 308; R. Gough, 252; T. Edmeads, 248; Miss T. Gough, 268; Miss It. Gourli, 252; and Miss Burton, 242. A concert was given by tho Potono Convent School last evening at tho Enipiro Hall, Petoue, before a largo audience. Tho following contributed items to tho programme:—L. Wright, E. Cute, D. Okoby, D. Collott, IC. Casey, J. Walsh, K. Ryder, R. Ward, D. M'Jonkyns, M. Bolton, and O'M'Carthy. Action-songs woro rendered by the senior girls, boys, and tho infants, and a drama, entitled "Ernscliff Hall," was presented by Missca M. Purccll. A. Hill, N. Ryder, M.
