DESERTING THEIR SHIP
TO JOIN EXPEDITIONARY FOROE. (By TeleKiaDh-Proei AJjootetM.) Dunedin, December 15. Five deserters from the Buteshire appeared in the Police Court this morning. Four left the ship with the object of enrolling in the Expeditionary Force. Two of them would have been valuable acquisitions, one having served fourteen years in the Navy, and reaching the liigliest non-commissioned rank, and the other had been in tho British Army. The mon said they had been refused at TTonio becauso they were over age. The Magistrate ordered the men to be placedl on board before, the ship sailed this afternopnl
