SWIMMING
WELLINGTON COLLEGE OLD BOYS' CLUB.
The fourth annual meeting of the Wellington College Old Boys' Swimming Club was held in Bethune's Roomß, Featherston Street, on Monday evening. Mr. Jl. Barnett presided. \ i The annual report stated that the reason for- .the delay in commencing' operations this year was the absence of the secretary at Samoa. Many members of the club had joined the Forces and the committee, while congratulating them, wished them a "safe return. Last season was not quite so successful as in previous years. . Special stress wa3 laid upon the lack of support given bj members to their club and its officials. Keener interest was hoped for in the future. • , Twenty tew members were elected. The following motion was carried: — "That the question of advances to the Wellington College Old Boys' Cricket Club be referred to the committee."
Officers for the ensuing year were elected as. follows:—President, Mr. J. P. Firth; vice-presidents, past and present presidents of the Old Boys' Association ; captain, Mr. E. Levy; vicecaptain, Mr. G. Gray; secretary, Mr. R. M. Russell; treasurer, Mr. F. M. H. Hansen; starter, Mr. A. Jacobs; committee, Messrs. N. 'Isherwood, L. Blundell, G. Robson, W. Hicks, and A. Ronaldson; delegates to Wellington Centre, Messrs. E. Levy and W. Isherwood; auditor, Mr. D. G. Johnson.
