CHILDREN AND NO-LICENSE

. A JUVEVILE DEMONSTRATION. Some three'or four thousand children took part in the No-License demonstration on Saturday afternoon. The procession formed along '• Waterloo Quay just outside the Fery Wharf and when it moved off shortly before 3 p.m. there were hundreds and hundreds of ' 'laughing boys and girls ' walking .'or riding in expresses, wfliile each one bore some flag or emblem advocating No-License. At intervals in the procession were banners urging electors to strike out the top line, etc. A number of young ladies attired in costumes representati/e of the different places where prohibition has been enforced, also took part in the procession. The Central Mission. Band headed tho procession, while the Salvation Army Band, Boys' Mission Band, and a drum and fife band also participated. The chief marshals, Lieutenant-Colonel Macrntosh and Mr. H. Miller, had the children lined up in order by three o'clock when it moved off to Newtown Park. Newtown Park the children assembled and listened to. addresses by prominent No-Licehse people. Among the speakers were the Rev. A. E. Hunt, ! Brigadier Bray, and Mr. O. C. Mazen- 1 garm. The latter speaker, referring to * the afternoon's procession, said it was ' a practical demonstration of the irres- ' istibility of the movement in the fight 1 ™ r humanity against vested interests, ' etc. The four or five thousand chilcren preseat, he said, were all argu- 1 ments for No-License.
