ROYAL HUMANE SOCIETY
The thirteenth' annual report ■of the Eoyal Humane Society of New Zealand states that during the past year 88 applications for awards have been duly investigated, 34 of which were found worthy of recognition. Tho total number of awards made since the formation of the society now reaches 388. The directors have decided to purchase 50 more' life-buoys for ' distribution, and also a number of medals to avoid delays where awards are made. The also suggest as a fitting recognition of the zeal and onergy of anv person collecting ,£2O or over towards the funds, that such persons should be appointed o. life-member, and also that a medallion should be struck for presentation to them. . The statement of assets and b'obihhes shows' a cash oredit balance' of ,£539 Bs. Id., and total asset* worth .£702 9s. lid.
