On a judgment summons Eichard Fullbrook was ordered to pay Forde and Co. £2 19s. before December 17. or undergo three daya* imprisonment. ■ Garnott Frederick Norton, builder of Ngaio, claimed to recover, under the Wages Protection and Contractors' Lion Act, the sum of .£B7 lis. '9d. from John Gustavus Jacobson, plumber, Wellington, for work done and services rendered under a contraot between the parties, for the erection of a house at Thorby Street. Northland, The defence set out that the building was not completed according to specifications, and "there was a dispute over extras. The case stands, part heard, adjourned till Tuesday: George Waddell, Fcatherston Street, taxi-cab proprietor, represented by Mr. 13 J. Fitz"ibbon, sued the City Corporahon (Mr. J. O'Shea) for the sum of ' & Bs. 6d., for damage done to plaintiffs motorcar through the collision with a tramcar,- negligent driving on the part of the driver of the.tramcar being alleged. The' oaso was not concluded, when the Court rose. ; Emma White, a middle-aged woman, was convicted and fined 10s„ ~w default three dayß' imprisonment, fpr drunkenness. For a similar offence Patrick Ruddy was convicted and fined 405., in de-' fault-seven days' imprisonment.
