JOHNSONVILLE FLOWER SHOW

.VERY FINE EXHIBITION. The summer show of the Johnsonville Horticultural and Industrial Society was opened in Moore Brothers' Hall at Jolinsonvillo yesterday afternoon. In spite of tho windy weather that has prevailed so much of late, the show was considered by the judges to be very good, both in tho quality of the exhibits and in number. Hoses wero, of course,, largely in evidence, and some lino specimens were ta bo seen, among them. Mr. F. H. Petrie, who secured the greatest number of points for roses, was the owner of the champion rose — "Mrs. Maivley." A very lino stand of sweet peas was sent in for exhibition by Mr. Holder, and nurserymen were represented by Messrs. Weightman and Shailor. Mr. W. H. D. Bell, who was to have opened tho show, sent an apology for )iis unavoidable absence. The cut blooms and pot plants were judged by Mr. Weightman: vegetables and fruit, Mr. Shailer; and'decorative and children's classes, JMiss Murray.
