SHOOTING COMPETITION
FOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS. (By Telegranb- • Prese Association.!. Dunedln, December 2, The annual shooting competition for secondary schools of the Dominion concluded yesterday. " Tlie conditions woro greatly altered this year, Bisley regulations giving way to snap-shooting (five shots with target exposed for 4sec., 200 yards); rapid firing (ten rounds in lmin. at 300 yards); and fivo rounds doliberate at 500 yards. No slings, or orthoptics were allowed. The schools were divided into gradesA Grade, with an attendance of 200 and over, B Grado, with an attendance between 100 and 200, and C Grade, with an attendance of less than 100. Only six teams competed for A Grade and one for B Grade. Tlie results were as follow: —A Grade; Waitaki, 454 points, 1; Wellington Collego, 420 points, 2; Nelson College, 37-1 points, 3; New Plymouth, 363 points; Otago, 330. points; Wnnganui, 265 points.
