ONSLOW WATER SUPPLY
. A meeting of the ratepayers of the Borough of Onslow was held at the Methodist Churchroom, Ngaio, on Monday for the' purpose of considering with the council the question of water supply for the borough. Tho Mayor of Onslow, Mr. (J. C. Crump, was in the chair, and opened the meeting by explaining tho scheme. The speaker emphasised its practibility. Councillors Alderson, Lynneburg, Browne, and Muni'o also spoke at length on the position. At the conclusion of the speeches a largo number of questions were answered, tho meeting being unanimous in its expression of approval of the scheme. A committee was formed ,to canvass the district in support of the scheme. A similar meeting will be held at tho Public Hall, Jlhandallah, next Monday.
