FIRES
(By Telegraph.—Prose Aesociation.) Hastings, November 28. An eight-roomed building at Bridge Pa, near Hastings, owned by the Maori Agricultural College trustees, and occupied as a teachers residence, was totally destroyed by fire last night. Very little furniture was saved. Duneciin, November 28. The valuable homestead at Moeraki station, containing twelvo rooms, was destroyed by fire at 4.30 this morning.' It was owned by the New Zealand and Land < Co., and occupied by Mr. AV. 0. Mackellar, manager. About .£IOO worth of furniture was saved, and the loss will bo very 1 heavy. The servants lost everything, one escaping in her night clothes. Thpre was a heavy gale at the time of the outbreak.
