THE PRIME MINISTER IN TARANAKI
GREAT RECEPTION AT WAVERLEY (By Telegraph.—Special Correepondent.) Wanganul, November 29. The Prime Minister'continued his tour in Tarauaki on Saturday, when he motored from Hawera to Waverley, and in the evening addressed an overflowing audience in the local theatre. Mr. R. Mac Donald, chairman of the Town Board, presided.' Mr. Massey.was accorded a. great reception,'and was enthusiastically cheered .both oh entering the hall, and'on rising.'to epeak. Hβ spoke, much on :the lines of previous addresses, , arid was frequently-,■'ap-plauded. 'At the conclusion ■of a two hours' speech a motion expressing keen appreciation of the actions of the Government in handling the various crises' that had arisen during their term of office and of confidence in the Reform Government was carried practically unanimously, amidst a demonstration of warm enthusiasm. The meeting, whicli was a record one for Wavorley, broke up with three cheers for the Prime Minister. ■ .'..;.•'.
