MAKE-BELIEVE NIGHT ATTACKS l"Hmes" and Sydney "Bun" Services.) London, November 24. • 'An English officer states that night and day the Germans pretend to make attacks. Those in the night are particularly spectacular.. They begin with shelling, and then follow names. They have a parachute flare which .lights up everything. This is followed by rapid firing, then wild cheering, andj lastly— nothing. Having cheered they imagine they have done the job, and apparently sit down. "It is all very frightening. 'At first the Indians did not know whether they were standing on their heads or their heels. They rapidly tumbled to the tricks, and, turning to their officesr, say:. 'Sahib, why didn't you teach us these things?" , ■ '
