PRESBYTERIAN SCHOOLS
(By Telefrttnli.—Press Association.) Dunedln, November 24. A remarkable feature of this year's Preßbytorian Assembly haa been the number of colleges reported. Within the last'few years tlie Presbyterian Church has spent over £100,000 on colleges for religious eduoation. Thus for Knox College £45,000: for three Presbyterian girls' colleges over £40,000; Dunedin. for St. Margaret's College, £6000; Dunedin Training Institute, £3000; Turakina Maori Girls' College, £5000; Manunui • Maori Boys' College, £3000; most of these were considered yesterday. The Rev.- Andrew Cameron presented the report of the completion of Knox College, Dunedin, in winch the theological classes and also students of all other faculties are housed. The Rev. W. S. Fitzgerald reported on the erection of tho new building of St. Margaret's College, Dunedin. It receives girl students attending the University. . ■ The Rev. A. Grant reported on lona College, Hav.elock North, completed at a cost of £20,000. The Revs. A. Whyte and W. Gray Dixon presented a Teport from the Presbytery of Dnnedm on Cohimba Girls' Collego, Dunedin, acquired at a total cost .of'abont £9000. The Rev. I. Jolly submittod tho report on the new Auckland College. Tho Misses Bew's Sohool of 45 boaTtlers and 167 day pupils, has been purchased by a Presbyterian School Company, witl> a capital of £12,000.
