Mo"re Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their annual spring cattle fair dt'Pahiatua on Thursday as follows :-Wo offered an extra heavy yarding of cattle, the advertised • numbers being exceeded, close on 2«0 head coming under the hammer. Tho attendance was large. • On a few of the fist pens the reserves were notreached, but afterwards the. competition considerably improved, and'a highly satisfactory clearance was effected, only a few odd pens of the grown, cattle, which numbered 1100 being turned out unsold. The demand-for fat cows was particularly keen; two-year old steers were somewhat nclected at auction, although the built or them ultimately changed hands.
