Hemming, Premier of New Brunswick, has reported that it did not doubt v that, Mr. Fleming had wrongly received large sums in conjunction' with certain Government officials from:-holders of the- Govern/ ' meat timber license. Mr; Flemming declared that the Oomtaission's findings were cruel and unjust, and refused to resign the Premiership. ; . , ■ The Hon. James Kill Flemming has been Premier of New Brunswick since 1911. Hβ contested the provincial election for his native county in 1895, and again in 1899, being. defeated on each occasion.
