SWIMMING.
The local swimming season will be opened officially by the Wellington Amateur Swimming Club at the Te Aro Baths on Saturday afternoon next at 2.30, when two open ' handicaps over 50 and 100 yds: will be decided. Owing to, tho absence of so many of tho swimming fraternity with the Expeditionary Forcos, those in control of tho sport, urge all remaining swimming enthusiasts to be present to take part in these' opening events.
