SATURDAY'S PLAY.

The weather conditions were the reverse of pleasant on Saturday afternoon owing to the dull, overcast sky and the high wind. The greens were fairly keen, but accurate play was made extremely difficult by the furious gusts of wind, which would hold a bowl right ■up on the one hand, whilst oil the other it would send it Ecooting across the green into the. next rink. The following are the results of Saturday's games WELLINGTON CLUB. At the Wellington Club's green a game was played- for the diamond buckles' between Wylie and Ballinger (Wellington) and Richards and Prince (Newtown). The game resulted in a win for the Newtown pair by. 27 to 15 points. NEWTOWN CLUB. Edwin Feathers. A, challenging team from the Te Hiwi Club played the Newtown holdors of the above trophies on Saturday afternoon, but were defeated after an interesting game: —Newtown: J. M. Brackenridge, Spiers, J. Sexton, J. Brackenridge (s.), 24. Te Hiwi: Baskiville, Houldsworth, Ingram, Benzie (s.), 15. CLUB GAMES.

A very interesting seven-rink game was played on. Saturday afternoon' between teams chosen from members living east of Riddiford Street against those living on tho west side of that thoroughfare. The east men won as follows:—
