MEETING AT MASTERTON. , (By Telegraph.—Special Correspondent.) ; ' .Maaterton,. November. .12. _ The Methodist Synod resumecTits ses-. sion yesterday morning, the Rev. S. J. Serpell presiding. : The balance-sheet and revenue account -of the Wellington Educational Trust was presented to the. Synod, adopted,. ana forwarded to Conference., The Missioner of the Wellington Central Mission (the Rev. Knowles Smith) presented ' a report ,-...-regarding the....: Mission. The report- which embraced a \ recommendation of a home- mission grant ,-of £80 was,unanimously adopted after, considerable discussion. ■. ■
The statements presented ehowed that a of £332 7s. Bd. had been raised in the district for foreign missions and £326 18s. 9d. for home missions-. Both .these efforts are still incomplete and the amounts will-be, augmented. ■• ■ .
It was resolved to ask for the fol- 1 Joking grants'for tho - Home Mission. Fund:-Wellington.Central Mission',*£so; Eketahuna', £35; Levin and Otaki; £60. Total, , £270.- The homo mission income for the , year-was assessed at £356. ■
