ROSE & CARNATION CLUB
', MEMBERS' SHOW. The members of the Wellington. Rose and Carnation' Club held a successful show in GodberV Rooms, Cuba Street, last night. An exceptionally fine display of blooms, was.'made, in all: about 500 roses being shown. Some perfect ■varieties were exhibited, , including all the" well-known rose's. The -success of :last night's show augurs well for'.the. main enow, which . takes,. • place next week. A . fine collection of ■ sweet pea blossoms .was made last night by Mrs. G. §~ Pearse, of Heretaunga, while a oeaiitifully-arrahged basket- of roses, j grown by Mr. Morrison, on the Terrace, was'greatly admired. Miss Kirkcaldle's'exhibits, were: also greatly._'*admired, and otner members who exhibited fine blooms .were: Mrs. Gore, Mrs. Nathan, Miss Joseph, Messrs. Eeming-. 'ton, Kerslake, > Kearney, Caa'arlesworth,; Trevethick, S. G. Pearce, and Eniehy. .
