Further particulars of the fire on tha French transport steamer Rembrandt, in mid-ocean—the vessel was carrying 500 horses to France—relate that the Rem'ftrandt's crew flooded the vessel, thus stamping out the fire. Every horse on board was killed. The ship was damaged, but will be able to return.. According to the captain, German spies started the fire, with, the object of preventing the delivery of the horses to Britain. The captain alleges that threats we're made before the vessel left Baltimore.
