NAPIER NOTES.

At the Napier Court yesterday, Patrick J. Henley, bankrupt,, motor engineer, of Napier, was committed for trial on a charge of failing to keep proper books. The Napier and Hastings branch of the Carpenters' Union has collected £10 towards the Huntly Belief Fund. Among the passengers by the mail train yesterday morning were Mr. A. L. D. Fraser,(for Masterton), Mr. J. -W. White, Crown Prosecutor (for Timaru), Mr. T. Clarkson, (for Wellington). Nurso Lake has resigned from the staff of the Napier Hospital in visw of her approaching marriage.
