B. Deelcy, J. Buchanan, L. Wilson, and J. O'Shea arrived from Auckland by the Main Trunk express yesterday afternoon, and left for Riccarton by the ferry steamer .last evening. Between the arrival of tho train and the departure of the steamer, Deelcy • and Buchanan visited tile Turkish Baths for the puroose of making a reduction in their riding weight. Deeley was in great form at Ellerslio oil Wednesday, when he had three winning mount's. Backers of Sinapis were very much surprised when the name of tho St. Ambrose mare was, not to be found among tho Now Zealand Gup acceptances yesterday. Many -of them held the belief that a correction would come during the day stating that the acceptance of the mare had been received in time, and had been inadvertently omitted from the list.

Weights for tho first day's events at the Marlborough Racing, Club's Meeting are due to-day. The Victoria Racing Club's Meeting will be brought to a close at Flemington to-morrow. , Handicaps for the first day's events at the Fcilding Jockey Club's Spring Meeting will be declared at the close or the racing at Riccarton.
