A committee of Wanganui ladies who desired to forward to tho Belgian Consul a' ! considerable quantity ot clothing for the benefit of the Belgian poor expected it to bo carried free on the railways, as in tho case- of goods supplied for the Expeditionary Force. The Railway Department has notified them that the General Manager's instructions arc that .all gooch for Belgium are to bo charged for at ordinary rates. Great 'indignation is expressed locally at what is considered to be menu disonmiiiation against Britain's Ally. , .
