Warstop's was easily the best gallop of the morning. She'did sot have a moving. start, but stood at the post, and yet she' registered 'the fastest six-fnrldng, eeven-furlong, and mile gallops of the morning. During her trial over twelve furlongs Chrysotis was to have picked her-up after the first quarter, but she was no use at any part of the gallop, and .Warstep dropped _ her four furlongs from home.. After Chrysotie was done, the little mare eased up, and completed her gallop in SGsec. Considering that she was carrying well' , over her Cup weight it was a brilliant gallop, and the going was on the soft side. She was. not unduly distressed when she pulled up, and Emerson, who rode her, says she was doing her work well all the way, and was never under pressure. ,
