SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY
There was a large attendance at the Sailors' Friend Society Institute last evening, when a concert was held. Illness prevented the scheduled concert party appearing, but Miss C. Mueller at. short notice- provided an attractive programme, the following contributing voca] and elocutionary items: —Misses Mueller, Harper. (2), Lissack,'Messrs.' Cowley (R.M.S. Ruahine), Johansen, and Pixley (s'.s. ■ Ruahine), Johansen, played the accompaniments. The performers were accorded a hearty vote of thanks at the conclusion of the concert.
