" Evelyn, youngest daughter of Mr. W. I H. Panokhurst, aged 2 years and nine II months, by being knocked down by a - trap driven -by her father, tho wheel 3 going over her body. The child never - regained consoiousness, and died an hour • afterwards. f At the inquest a verdict of death from 1 shock and abdominal injurios was re- >• turned. 1 SUDDEN DEATH. I Tho head-waiter at Bellamy's, Harry Clarence Woodward,- was found dead in his bedroom at Lis residence in Pitat rua Street yesterday morning. Deceased „ left Parliamentary Buildings at 10.45 p m 'on Thursday and appeared to bo ill good health. When his mother went I into his room with a cup of tea ypsterday morning sho found him lying „ dead on the floor. Dr. Henry, who was I, summoned, pronounced life to have „ been'extinct for several hours. An in- ! quest will bo held at 4 p.m. on Mon- „ day. Deceased, who leaves a widow, but no familv, was a native of Auckn land. It is believed that us heart n was affected by a bad turn he had about I, a fortnight ago.
