In another portion of this issue is an announcement concerning a Protestant demonstration to be held at the' Town Hall on Sunday afternoon next, commencing at 2.30, preceded by a son? servico at 2 o'clock. As all tho church choirs of tlie city have been invited to lead tho singing it is expected that a vory large number will assemble to ,do their part. With such well-known people as Miss E. Smith, Messrs. Frank Jobmstone, Laslett Exton, and E. S. Allwright giving solos, and Mr. H. Tcmplo White presiding at the grand organ, tho service promises to be a very pleasant one. In addition to this there will be speeches from Canon Eccles, of Woodville, and Eev. J. Gibson .Smith.. A very limited number of early door tickets are available. A collection will be taken, and tho net prpceeds will, be handed over to the Patriotic Funds.
