A disastrous fire occurred early this . afternoon in Lowe and Keesing's motor ; garage, by whicli damage to the ex- . tent £10,000 was done. The building was mainly of concrete, and the walls were undamaged. .Four or five cars were removed before tlio fire reached them; but sixteen others were damaged, some absolutely beyond repair. Several of the cars were not insured, and those damaged included some very valuable ones. /-The building was insured for £1650, ind stock-in-trade and plant for £1000, both in the Ocean qffice. The loss on the latter risk will be considerable. .
