The Otago Association recommended a sub-committeo to assist the Management Committee be Messrs. T. Begg, J. L. Salmond, J. S. Nicholson, R. S:. Brown. G. C. Nicholson, S. N. Brown, jun., A. W. Wellsted, J. R. Lemon, J. Manson, T. Paterson, R. 'A. Wilkie, and N. N. Smith, and also recommended its president, Mr. T. Begg, as referee, with Mr. J. S. Nicholson as deputy referee. These recommendations .■have been adopted and the gentlemen named duly appointed. At the last quarterly, meeting of the council the matter of a donation to the War Fund was discussed, and action left to tho Management Committeo. Each association has been requested to approve hf a-donation of .50 guineas by the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association to a Dominion Relief Fund provided an amendment of tho Wnr Contributions . Validation .Act, 1914, is brought into effect giving tho association the necessary authority to make such a donation. The affiliated associations have been further asked to contribute pro rata to a further sum of 50 guineas that a total donation of 100 guineas may be made on behalf of the tennis players of tho Dominion., Replies are now boing received. All; approve of a donation by the New, Zealand Association, whilst some having contributed to local relief funds nro not in a position to contribute further. The matter will be further considered by tho Management Committee at its noxt meeting. Tho statement of accounts submitted shows that tho income for the year exceeded the expenditure by £62 os. lid.
