SOCIAL DEMOCRATIC PARTY.

Sir,— Kindly allow me space to give au unqualified contradiction to the assertion made by Mr. It. A. "Wright, Reform candidate for Wellington Suburbs, to the effect that the Social Democratic Party of New Zealand had affiliated with a body whose headquarters were in. Germany. The headquarters of the International Socialist Bureau, with which the New Zealand Social Democrats • decidod to affiliate, had its headquarters, up until the outbreak of the present war, in Brussels. The international secretary., Camille __Husymans, is a Belgian, and Emile Vanderveldt, now a member of the Belgian Cabinet, is one of the Bureau's most distinguished, members. The present headquarters is probably in London. Mr. Wright will no doubt make public this correction. —I am, etc., P. ERASER, National Secretary-Treasurer, Social Democratic Party.
