LOSS OF A SUBMARINE

UNCONFIRMED REPORT London, October ,21. A German official wireless message states that the British submarine E3 was sunk in German Bay, iii the North Sea. The Press Bureau has no information on the matter. The E3 was a submarine of 800 tons displacement, similar to the AE type possessed hy Australia. The E vessels aro 176 ft. long and 22} ft. in diameter, have a surface speed of .15 knots, and a speed submerged of about 10 knots; and they carry twonty-eiglvt men. Their armament is "Jireo torpedo tubes.
