NEW FRENCH BATTLESHIP

LAUNCHED AT BREST

(Rec. October 22, 0.55 a.m.) Paris, Ootober 21. The battleship Flandre hae been launched at Brest. The Flandre is one of four vessels included in the French 1913 programme, the others being the Normandie, Languedoc, and Gascogne. They are each of 24,830 tons displacement, and will carry twelve 13.4 in. gune, mounted in three quadruple turrets.
