AN AUCKLAND FATALITY
OPEN VERDICT. (By MoEiaph —Prese Association.) Auckland, October 20. As tlio result of the inquest on Alice Beatrice Ward, who was drowned in tho harbour, the Coroner (Mr. Cut-ten, S.M.), found an open verdict. He added that Taylor's ' evidence was unreliable, but thero was no evidence to' support the finding that he was guilty of a crime. Taylor was subsequently charged with vagrancy, convicted, made the subject of a prohibition order, and discharged. If ever you fool disposed to send your' cream to us, do so.
