Scholar of the- Exhibition of 1851; Joulo Student of the Royal Society; Research Exhibitioner and Siidbury Hardyman Prizeman,' Emmanuel College, Cambridge; President for 1911 Section A, Australasian Association for the Advancement of Science. Professor Laby has taken a prominent part in the agitation for university reform in New Zealand. ' ~ .
