OUTRAGE IN AUCKLAND
LITTLE GIRL ATTACKED. (By Telegraph.-Prese Association.) Auckland, October 19. While a little girl eleven years of age was proceeding home from a Sunday school concert about ten o'clock on Thureday night, she was accosted in Parke Avenue by a man, who Wanted to see her home. The child declined, whereupon tho man seized her, placed his hand over her mouth, and began to drag her towards the Domain. TJio girl fought and kicked, and getting nej , mouth, free screamed-loudly, whereupon two or threo men came to her reecuo. The man dropped the child and! ran. He was vigorously pursued, but manfiged to escapo through backyards and vacant sections. The girl was considerably cut and bruised afiout the face, and is suffering from shock. The police are making inquiries.
