UPPER HUTT TOWN BOARD
There wae a full attendance at the last meeting of'the Upper. Hutt Town Board. A letter was received, regarding the board's share of coste to bo ' borne in the construction of the road from Wellington to Petone Woollen Mills. After a lengthy discussion Commissioner M'Curdy moved that the letter bo received, and tho Minister of. Railways be informed that this board with other bodies concerned is setting up a, Board of Control, and that the City Solicitor bo informed that thp board received and endorsed the aotion taken by its representative. The motion was canned. Li letter, was received from tho secretary of the Wellington Racing Cliib asking the board to supply tie club course at Trontham with water. Commissioner Webb moved that the letter be received and that the board's reply be that thoy wished to-test the water, supply for one summer' sea-son- before considering any outside supply. This was agreed , to.... . . . . Regarding the' loan that was authorised at, the last meeting the Public Trustee' wrote stating that he could float the loan "of £350 "for three years at' 5£ . per cent., 1 per oent. sinking fund. _ Commissioner M'Ourdy moved .that the necessary documents be placed with the Publio Trustee to negotiate, the loan-. This was agreed to.
