He telle an interesting story of incidents connected ,with the. war. When at Malta he learned that a German in pharge of tho oil works was arrested just when he had everything in/readiness to flood the harbour with oil and set fire to a fleet of French, ships anchored there. In England Mr. Baldwin met several Palmerstonians, including Messrs. M. A. Elliott, and A. Guy, Mr. ajid Mrs. T Williamson, and Dr. Martin. The last-nam-ed ho met,at a meeting of New Zealandors held to arrange a welcome' to our Expeditionary Forces. Dr. Martin is an attached medical officer to the Home Counties' Section of the Hoyal Engineers, with the rank of captain
