Golf Championship Meeting was continued at Middlemore today in fine, but windy, weather. The greens wore very fast and upset the form of most of the players. The ladies' golf championship meeting to-day was continued in the best of weather.. The course and greens were excellent. ... In tho semi-ftnals, Mrs. Guy Williams (Masterton) beat Mrs. Murphy (Otago) 2 up and one' to play; Miss Humphreys (Christchurch), having been obligod to return homo, was under the necessity of forfeiting to Miss Bell (Wellington). A:feature of the match between Mrs. Murphy and Mrs. Williams was that the former was ap-' proaching ,and putting excellently going out, 'whereas Mrs. Williams was not showing her best form, and-was 2 down at the turn, and 3 down after halving on the twelfth green. Then Bhe struck much better formi whereas Mrs. Murphy went off, and Mrs. Williams'won tho next five holes in wellplayed fours. The Ladies' Golf Union . Challenge Bowl Match resulted in a win. for Miss. .Forbes (Otago), gross 90, handicap 21, net 69; Miss Theoniin (Otago) was second, with grosß 88, handicap 12, not 76. The play in 'this match l was splendid, the highest net score being 98. Most of the cards were in the eighties. The best gross score, which also takes a prize, was that of Miss Woods (Christchurch), 87, 5, 82. ■The Mellsop . Medal Aggregate Cup goes to Miss Wright (Timaru), with rounds of 92, 94, and 88, -total' 274; Miss L. Brandon (Wellington) is next best with 97, 97; and 92, total 286. ;
