CAPTURED SHIPS FOR STATE SERVICE, „ Melbourne, October 10. The Federal Government is considering the possibility of using the prize ships for the establishment of a Commonwealth line of steamships. The "Sydney Morning Herald," in a leader, says:—"Tho greatest geography lesson ever taught is being-taught today.; On the other sido of the world, millions of people are looking at war maps—looking with, special interest on tho great island continent of Australia and that wonderful .little country called New'Zealand'. Wα shall get no more letters addressed 'New Zealand, Australia.' The Government's intention to lay down another battleship and to replace the lost submarine means that tho war has taught us a lesson we would never have learned fully, without it."
