ON THE HIGH SEAS
AUSTRIAN WIRELESS STATION DESTROYED (Reo. October 11, 3.10 p.m.) Paris, October 10. The French Fleet lias appeared at Ragusa- and Gravosa, two Austrian ports on the Adriatic, north of Cattaro. The Austrian authorities and tho principal inhabitants of Ragusa fled on tho arrival of tho French. Tho squadron destroyed the lighthouse and the wireless station, and took a few prisoners. An Austrian aeroplane threw bombs, which fell harmlessly into tho sea. Tho guns on Mount Loochen, on the Montenegrin border, destroyed the aeroplane. Ragusa is an old walled town of about SOOO Croato-Servian inhabitants, and is the Headquarters of the Austro-Hunga-rion 16th Army Corps. It has belonged to Austria sinco 1814. Gravosa adjoins Radusa, and is its chief harbcur. It has a population of- about 1000. London, October 9. The Anglo-French fleet at Cattaro, Austria, brought down an Austrian aeroplane, and the aviator was drowned. FISHING BOAT BLOWN TJP. Copenhagen, October 9. A German, mine blow up a German fishing boat. One man was killed and one injured. REPORTED LOSS OF TORPEDO . BOATS. (Reo. October 11, 3.10 p.m) Paris, October 10. A report has. been received that two torpedo boats collided off the island of Poiquerolles, in the South.of. Franco. Both sank', but the ciews woro saved. The report has not been confirmed.
